Anti-Fascist Pasta Day/Pastasciutta Antifascista, celebrated on July 25th, commemorates Mussolini’s arrest, the fall of fascism, and the joyfully generous action of the Cervi family in Campegine to feed pasta to their whole town with freedom to gather in conviviality and enjoy pasta demonized by the fascist regime.
This digital zine provides historic context for the celebrations today. The time is ripe for this tradition here, as we commemorate the fall of fascism in Italy and resist its rise in the United States.
